Chapter 6 Spot Art

This is a picture of Stefan being bullied in first grade. The kids tease him about his hair because they think he colored it that way. They don't believe that his hair is naturally colored, that his genes make it that way. The hair color is a good metaphor for giftedness in a lot of ways. My artist, Matt Curtis did a good job of depicting the gentle vulnerability of Stefan and the gleeful harshness of the bully.
