I thought I would let you read the first chapter from book #5, "The Owl from Oblivion" to whet your appetite for the August 3rd release of the book. These page images are from the prototype layout of the book so I have to apologize for the junk enclosed in << >> as those are directions to me on what to do when I do the real layout. To read each page, click on the page image to zoom it up so it will be big enough for easy reading.

What to Expect: Book#5, The Owl from Oblivion release Aug. 3rd
Book #5, "The Owl from Oblivion" should be released August 3rd. It is designed to be read by both readers new to the series and readers of the previous books in the series. To new readers, they will understand about 80% of the story. I did it this way in hopes of attracting new readers to the book series.
This book will be a bit different than the previous books. For one thing it is about twice as long as the previous books. It is also twice as intense. I held back some in the previous books worrying that it might be too intense for kids. I didn't hold back much in this book because I wasn't sure I would get to write another one so I wanted one book where I wrote full throttle in my natural, uninhibited style, a bit dark. For example, Syon is beaten regularly by his parents; prostitutes even pity him and buy him food; and then governments come after him because they figure out he is the long lost gift to humanity from an alien race. Some aliens culture humans like we culture bacteria to experiment on them. Not only do you see through the eyeballs of these exceptional kids but you see through the eyes of government officials as they struggle to figure out what the right thing to do is given these kids exist --- what is the humane course of action given the limits of the political systems and the culture's science, and the need to protect people/prevent them from panicking. The story is the Nexus of a struggle of both humans and aliens trying to overcome the limits of their cultures to help these unusual children. By the time Book #5 is released I will have spent 2.5 years full time producing the book. I hope you will give it a try when it is released.

Syon Plays in the Time Lanes
#IllustrationOfTheDay From Book #5, "The Owl from Oblivion". 9 year old Syon wishes he could stay on the supernatural timeline, playing in the time lanes, running to different times. Instead has to return to the reality timeline to face his abuser, Leonard, as a twelve year old. He misses his magic wand when he returns to reality and kisses it goodbye. Still, even on the reality timeline as a twelve year old, there is something special about Syon.

The New Federation of the Twenty Emblem
#IllustrationOfTheDay Here is the Federation of the Twenty emblem updated for book #5. The Great Sophistan took humans from Earth 300,000 years ago. They made genetic changes to humans, producing 20 slightly different variants. They deposited them on to 20 different planets to see what happened. Those humans evolved into humans much advanced from Earth that had telepathic, telekinetic, and jaunting talents. At the center of the 20 planets is the Federation Orb or space station, where the Federation ruling body lives and where Federation wide scientific research is conducted.

Fredrick Docherty
#IllustrationOfTheDay Here is the illustration for Ty's father, Fredrick Docherty. He loves Ty dearly and he works for the part of the British government that has relations with the aliens. But he also has a dark past in that before he had Ty, before he was involved with aliens, he was a secret assassin for the British government. So he has a very dark side to his personality and he knows his way around the government very well. When he needs something done, someone tends to take care of it for him. Fredrick is visiting Sophista in this picture and Tonya, the Sophistan computer, has projected a live shot of Big Ben on the display to make him feel at home --- and to lessen the impact of the fact that his room is really a big concrete box. This illustration is a new one from forthcoming Book #5, "The Owl from Oblivion".
